Glagolitic is the first known Slavic alphabet. The creation of the alphabet is generally ascribed to Saints Cyril and Methodius in roughly 862 CE. It was used for religious and governmental writings until the 12th century, when it began to lose out to (the much simpler) Cyrillic alphabet. (Cyrillic, by the way, is named in homage to Saint Cyril, but he did not have anything to do with its creation.)

Pictured here are the Baška tablet, one of the earliest known examples of written Croatian (dating from 1100 CE), and a transliteration of Glagolitic.

Giveaway time! a couple of days ago I passed 500 followers and I decided I wanted to do a tiny giveaway, well now that there are already over 700 of you awesome peeps following me I wanted to let you know how much I love and appreciate every single one of you, so here it is.

I will be giving away 2 Avengers!Loki posters 17x27” (45x70 cm) in standard glossy poster paper.

You know, nothing fancy, just a couple of posters of mischief since I am a broke college student.

Giveaway is open internationally, I will send this to whichever corner of Midgard you happen to be living at and I will also throw in there a couple of 8x10” prints in photographic paper of some of my fave Loki shots and a cute note with all my love.
